  • Not all mental health conditions can simple be explained as chemical imbalances.

Trauma isn’t something that just happened in the past - it can feel like a weight you carry every single day. It may show up for you as constant anxiety that prevents you from being safe, even in your own bed. Or maybe it’s the nightmares, flashbacks, or emotional numbness that makes it hard to connect with what’s going on in reality. Perhaps you find yourself stuck in patterns of fear, self-doubt, or avoidance. No matter how much time has passed, somehow you just can’t move on or feel like you’re strong enough.

We recognize trauma comes in many forms, from a single life-altering even to a series of small but deeply impactful, repeated experiences. We want to understand not what you’re dealing with today, but how your past brought you here so that can understand the core of your story and help you heal.

We understand the mental health challenges of the Boulder community

  • Education institutions like CU Boulder, Naropa University, and local high schools are known for academic excellence, though many students feel overwhelmed by performance expectations. We support students dealing with stress, anxiety, burnout, and ADHD by providing compassionate care that fits into their busy schedules.

  • Boulder prides itself on healthy living, outdoor adventure, and mindfulness. But for some, this creates a quiet pressure to always feel good, stay fit, or appear on top of things. We offer a safe, judgment-free space to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface—because mental health isn’t a competition.

  • Raising kids in Boulder comes with its own set of challenges—from navigating neurodiversity and school stress to managing screen time and social dynamics. We work with parents and children to create supportive care plans that reflect Boulder’s family-centered values.

  • With a strong startup and tech scene, many Boulder professionals juggle long hours, perfectionism, and anxiety behind the scenes. Our telepsychiatry model is designed to work with your demanding schedule—offering discreet, supportive care to keep your mind as sharp as your ambitions.

  • Boulder draws people from all over the world—but relocating can come with feelings of loneliness, culture shock, or difficulty finding belonging. We understand the emotional toll of transition and offer a space to process those feelings and reconnect.

  • Winters in Colorado are long. The colder, darker months can hit hard, especially when outdoor time becomes limited. We help Boulder residents manage Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and winter mood changes with evidence-based strategies and medication support when needed.
